Intensify just flat out does doesn't work

I try looking around for answers as to why intensify isn't adding any damage. I saw intensify doesn't work being triggered has to be self cast but I am self casting still no added damage. I saw certain spells have an intensify effect built in and might not work with them. but I've tired it with multiple different skills none gained any damage. I swapped out intensify for basic added lightning damage which should do less damage then intensify by large amount but added lightning damage beats intensify by a large amount in actual testing.

TLDR intensify is broken adds no extra damage with multiple skills

What skills do you use?
If you mean Lightning Conduit then it doesn't deal area damage ("strikes all Shocked enemies"). Intensify - deal (10–14)% more Area Damage
The damage modifiers from Intensify Support work just fine for skills it can support (easily tested in-game), however the tooltip damage does not reflect the damage or other modifiers granted by your Intensity stacks. The same applies to Pinpoint Support.
If it doesn't do area damage then why does it have AOE tag in game? Also when you Hover over intensify support it clearly has a green check mark showing its supposed to effect and support lightning conduit.
Intensify can support Lightning Conduit, it's just lowering the AoE with successive casts.
AoE tag doesn't mean area damage.

Not saying you're wrong could you please give me an example of a spell it does work with because although I can find attack skills that flat out stat it does "area damage" I can't seem to find a spell skill that says deals "area damage". if the AOE tag doesn't mean area damage then there should at least be a tag for area damage as well because the vast majority of spells even with the AoE tag don't say does area damage if there some that I can't find.
Crackling Lance - deals lightning damage to enemies in a long area
Wave of Conviction - damaging enemies in a cone-shaped area
and others.
There is no special tag for area damage. AoE tag means that skill deals area damage or just has area of effect

On another note it wouldnt make sense if damage was required for an AoE tag because it would leave a lot of skills out that would love larger AoE.

Sigil of power is a good example. Its an area skill that doesnt deal damage but could still be shrunk by concentrated effect but more importantly still works with increased area of effect to give you a larger ring to stand in for your bonus damage.

A few things 1. I never said that there was a tag just that there should be a tag to seperate them to make things easier to tell what does area damage vs their damage in an area of effect. 2 just tested wave of conviction, no added damage from intensify. enemies take more damage on the second wave do to exposure then it stops any increase in damage tested on multiple enemies. test it out yourself they will take more damage from hits 1 to 2 but not any more with hits 3 and 4 with they should considering intensify is at 2 and 3 charges.

also crackling lance has its own built in intensify doesn't need the support gem. Hence still intensify the support gem doesn't work.
