Is Chilled Ground "You"?

Sadist for example gives you inc. damage if you chill an enemy. Is dropping chilled ground, for example with frostblink, "you" chilling an enemy? I think i remember faintly that ground effects do not count as the player

Tested it myself with a frostblink linked with brutality and a sadist cluster. no damage increase. so no, its not you
