Recent Blizzard's D4 survey leak shows:

Base game: $59.99 - The normal Blizzard game cost
Battlepass: $14.99 - monthly pass
Cash shop currency: $20.00 - Platinum boxes

yeah i thought POE 2 is gonna struggle against Diablo 4 but then i realized its Blizzard the current king of making the worst decisions ever so GGG is all good.

I was sure at 100% that D4 will be a cash-grab, they think first to make a lot of money before to make a good game 😑

That looks 100% accurate to what would be expected I don't really see what the OP is talking about?

If the 15$ monthly was for a battlepass i'd laugh because the idea of blizzard being able to make a battlepass amuses me greatly but it says gamepass so i'm assuming its the microsoft one that many already pay for to play other shit.

D4 is gonna be what D4 was always gonna be, it'll sell a shitload, won't be supported and will be a mirror of D3 within 6 months. If we are lucky it'll be a good game for those first few months, if were unlucky it won't be neither of which will impact its sales.

And according to the video, it stresses all of these are cosmetic-only with no effect on gameplay.
Are you OK with cosmetic MTXs in a game, or would you never play such an abhorrent monetisation model?

The one possible exception is the Mount, which allows faster movement. It said this unlocks after the campaign: but I think I heard that these are a gneeral feature, or were going to be, not paid-for - also paying for these would contradict the quotes above. It's the cosmetics for mounts which must be purchased.

And early access is available, paid-for. That's not something unique either.

Nowadays pretty much EVERYONE claims their game wont be P2W and those are only cosmetics and other bs. Then the game comes out and in less than a week they already add stuff that is considered P2W by big part of playerbase.

That's basically what I'm waiting for. I'm not going to play D4 either way but I love reading threads from all the people who are completely coped out of their mind when a full price AAA title with a cash shop is already questionable.

I fully expect them to add p2skip keys for timegated stuff or something similar simply because diablo immortal made money. It's not like blizzard has good rep anymore. They might as well go full money milking machine.
