Possible bad wording: 8% of Armour APPLIES to Elemental Damage from Hits

Let me preface this by saying this isn't my own issue. I already knew how the mechanic worked (Armour is translated into percentage mitigation, which is then applied to the Elemental Damage Hit), so understanding this was trivial for me - not relevant to the point I'm making.

So a guy on Reddit read this as: "When you take Elemental Damage from Hits, take 8% of Armour as Extra Damage."

I can see where he's coming from, misinterpreting the word Apply. It is defined as "be applicable or relevant" or "to make use of something or use it for a practical purpose", which is rather vague.

Perhaps these cases would be better off using a word like Mitigate.
