Minion Wishlist #2 Channeled Minions +?tbd
Hi there, I'd like to share some thoughts on current minions and ideas for future ones.

New Additions: Channeled Minions: These minions would come in several types and support a variety of play styles some of which i'd like to see as a support class summoning pets to suit a situation while weighing the cost of the summoning time and investment Active Channel Minions: These minions are only present while actively channeling them and in most cases would provide a buff or perform an attack/spell with varying strength depending on the length of the channel, these minions would attempt to attack near where you are channeling and perhaps even in some cases will interact with a specific target like a boss to target with their special skill. Summoned Channel Minions: These minions would not be present during channeling but once the summoner completes the channeling(or ends it early)depending on the duration of the channel the monster would then be summoned and its strength and duration dependent on the length of the channel Triggered Channel Minions: These are the guard skills of the Channeling world requiring a decent investment of mana/life and channeling time priming the skill based on the channel or completing the channel fully.. these skills would then activate under fairly standard conditions like taking damage giving a variety of effects but primarily summoning a minion that is only possible to bring into the world by taking damage with this guard skill after channeling sufficient mana/life into it. Skill Gem Idea's: Raise Greater Spectre(Active Channel) This variant of the raise spectre skill would function much like the normal one except it would only raise one copy of the corpse its targetting, this spectre would have its overall stats improved as well as health and be Agressive by default, as long as the channel is held the spectre will stay active and fight (and can still die) while it attempts to attack the target closest to your cursor during the channel. Summon Inua Totem(Triggered Channel) This skill would channel life to arm a guard skill which will summon an Inua totem that will link to the player when triggered and take a percentage of damage from its life before yours and provides you with health regeneration while it remains alive, this skill remains on cool down as long as the totem lives and it will die when its link is broken.(it would not affect normal totems but be affected by their modifiers) Raise Skeleton General(Summoned Channel) This skill would channel up to a maximum similar to how flameblast works and at the end would summon a skeleton general which would buff nearby minions based on the channel duration. Summon Bird of Prey(Triggered Channel) This skill would summon a falcon or eagle or some big bird that would blind the enemy and do pretty basic attacks otherwise but guaranteeing to blind the target who triggered the skill and any adjacent ones while also applying physical damage but ONLY the initial hit has a 100% chance to blind. Summon Hound(Triggered Channel) Spend life to channel this skill and when activated summons a hound/wolf that will stun your enemy guaranteeing a stun on initial activation but only a chance after that similar to the bird of prey also dealing basic attacks applying its chance for the stun effect. I'll be expanding this as i can, comments appreciated on this or any of the old wishlist.
