Do physical damage builds require Avatar of Fire?

I only make lvl 94 builds. The theory hero went for a physical damage route to say the least.

I have zero elemental passives. Just physical damage. The only 1 fire passive I have is " magmetic strikes " that my thread of hope reaches as a last resort dps passive to get.

So with that 1 fire passive, the other passives are physical. I was done with the build. Then I just clicked Avatar of Fire to notice my Spectral Helix dps went from 2,000 dps to 3,000 essentially (with no items or support gems only tree). & was like wth?

Does every main physical damage build without weapon passives, need avatar of fire? if it boosts dmg by 1/3rd by the time your done theory building with physical mainly? It gives the physical dmg 1,000 more ignite dps.

I honestly didn't want fire dmg for this build, I wanted a non red anything on the screen, regular staff spectral helix physical build. As I already theory a diff hero for fire spells.

Then I noticed theirs another turn 5% physical dmg to fire near the element mastery. So after lvl 94 with only physical dmg passives, adding 4 more passives, phys to fire passives makes my dmg go from 2,000 to 3,600. So is this right?

Should I get rid of 4 passives if fire boosts my dmg this much, even tho I don't really want fire conversion for this style.

Or maybe reply'ers believe overall at the end of the day, that the fire conversion isn't all that much more dmg?

That does sound strange getting Avatar of fire raised your damage that much. Set your profile to public so we can see it.

I asked TriPolarBear the streamer right now & he said POE has some inaccurate stuff. That fire conversion is for fire builds. He then ranted about crimson dance or something similar, how inaccurate, & someone else mention bleed data not right.

Welcome any build route suggestions too. Seems okay for the most part.

So this is pastebin of 99 points, tho if you take Divine Fury off, Element Mastery, & get rid of AOF, that's lvl 94 theory.

Sounds like you gained nothing but ignite damage since before you werent dealing fire damage which means you couldnt ignite.

Id throw some items and support gems on your main skill and then check the dps difference. Id say it will be a lot lower with avatar of fire then.

Ok. I see. Probably from the 2 hand ailment dmg passives.

So I took off Magmatic Strikes & have now 20%
Impale % from the physi mastery. Better for the theme.

Someone else mentioned that staff attack speed is slow for helix. So may need to run haste with attack speed equips.

Configuration > Enemy Stats > Is the enemy a boss? > Set to Guardian / Pinnacle Boss

It was already mentioned in this thread, but the extra damage is just from ignite and it looks like a lot because in the current config, enemies are set to 0% fire resistance.
