Treasure Goblins

Can we have treasure Goblins please? (or a derivative thereof)

we kinda do

theyre called 'rogue exiles'

they drop a lot of loot for 1 mob. most always junk, but they do have a pile of loot.

Reckon Tormented Souls were based on Golden Axe's gnomes, or whatever were those blue-green guys that stayed for a while and, when hit, dropped HP/Mana

Are they the "treasure Goblin" we are talking about?

Nah, I'm talking showers of currency if you catch one, not showers of useless rares. Dunno, maybe a fun feature ala D3

... Embezzler-gripped rares drop 10-12 extra currencies.
But, yeah, we don't exactly have mobs that gives you reward for playing tag with them. Expect Tormented Souls, and it's just an additional Rare item

Aren't Vaal Flesh Merchants supposed to be this?

Drops aren't good enough for loot goblins to be a thing in PoE, they have a variety of mechanics like that, keeper of the trove, the guaranteed unique mod, ghosts, flesh merchants etc but loot isn't exciting in that way.

Exalt drop is PoE's treasure goblin.

Always felt that Strongboxes were sort of that, along with rogue exiles.

Apart from that, Tormented spirits are sort of treasure goblins, albeit not the most rewarding of kinds
