Maven and it's exceptionnal 'awaken' gems

i feel that there is an issue about these awakened exceptional support gems. The drop rate do not feel the value of them atm in my opinion.

compared to the orginial version that we can get level 4 with corruptions, they are kinda worst in that sens. they cost more attribute and gives nothing special without the +1 level corruption as all the other awaken gems are better than their original version at level 1, compared to a level 20 support gems.

i ran over 100 ish uber maven and didn't drop any of them. One of my friend drop one after 70 ish. Kinda low drop rate.

If these gems would go level 5 without corruption, that drop rate would feel okay, but actually it do not.

there is 3 recommandation i can see there (like pick one of them);

1- Increase the drop rate of them, so that way we will have more attempt to double corrupt them..

2- makes the quality giving something, like increase attribute (intel for enlighten etc) or like reduce attribute requirement of linked skills gems. idk, maybe a little upgrade from quality will feel better and people will have to grind more to level them up (or more faceted lens).

3- make it go level 5 without corruption (so then truly awaken tag will worth it as all the other awaken gems).


During these run, i found 2x awakened multi strike and 1x awakened multiple projectile and a lot of low tier awaken gems. But i truly feel with that super low rate and what the actual version gives is kinda sad. Even a max level 4 (fail corruption) 20% quality is worst than the original gems, because it gives the exact same value with a higher attribute requirement(?)

I feel you somewhat vastly underestimate how much of a difference another +1, 4% reserved mana efficiency, or even the extra quality can give to a skill gem.

Yes, it would be nice if you could make use more of the quality, but they are in a category of their own, and giving them bonuses on TOP of what they already do would be somewhat overkill.

1) Droprate is just hope for RNGesus. I know a friend of mine already found two of those (One was Enhance, so that was a bit sad) in 150ish runs and considered it a success. It's just extra awakaned gems that are all good in their own right.

2) The gems are powerful as is, and their biggest downside is that you have to level them, so the quality kind is good. I don't agree giving them alternate quality types personally, as they are already powerful, but that's just my two cents.

3) No. A gem that could give you potentially +5? Do you know how nuts that is? Similiarly to how 20% mana reservation efficiency would be nuts? Ashes of the stars in support gem form. If that would ever be live, you'd see the gems EVEN LESS than now. Same applies to Enhance, I am sure there is ways to super boost with 32% qual on "lvl 5" has ways to make things broken, though, I kinda would like to see that more as this at least SOUNDS more interesting than flat out power-upgrades.

So simply increase drop rate would feel good. On xbox we only have 1 enlighten 5 at all and there is non on market. I think it wouldnt be bad to the game to double the drop rate. Like uber maven is supposed to be the ultimage fight, but you need to do it 100+ to drop it and imagine being enhance. I mean after that the average is like 10% to get it level 5 or so. So 1000+ Uber maven.. but take in consideration there is 3 version, so if you want enlighten 5, you theorically need 3000 uber maven. Not legit.

Thread is kinda hard to believe. I did 40 or so Uber mavens this league and got 6 or was it 7? Awakened exceptionals.

Take your account off private. 5 Challenges done and saying you did the uber maven 100 times has me doubting this entire thread.

You're either the luckiest dude ever or making this up. I spent the better part of 2-3 weeks straight doing uber bosses (with at least 100 uber mavens) and invitations for the most part and i only found 1 awakened enlighten.

I went ahead and bought 20 writs for the heck of it, lets see if i get one. Recording so i can save if i find anything good.

And finally i got awakened enlighten on my 20th run.

For slight proof i have the clips from just a minute ago on twitch of the awakened enlighten and the ci imp escape dropping along with a couple of bug deaths.

Yea im guessing the OP maybe ran regular maven a bunch of times. And accidentally put uber down.

Its private for a reason. I play standard and ssfhc to bring recombinator, im not chasing anything else in league.

Stop harassing me for things that dosnt matter like laughing about my 5 challenges in ssfhc. I had 100+ maven writ ready in standard when league swap and didnt find a single one exceptional. My friend did more than me and only found 1. My guildies have same issues.

Noones harassing anything. If it was the post would be removed. 5 challenges done and a private account whilst talking about 100+ Uber mavens is your choice, thats fine.

Just raises a lot of press X to doubt. Still dont see your characters. The plot thickens!!!
