Great job GGG Delving feels impossible

Even at lower level zones, delving or trying to get to a node with fossils etc rare just rip you in half in leveling zone start of delving areas. Have 4 rares on you in the dark each put a flare down, with these Archnemesis modifiers slamming you before you can do anything.

It's unacceptable, a challenge for delve 600 in endgame grinds too?
My standard characters that could facetank and destroy all the content in the game are being overwhelmed by hoards of blue monsters with more health than rares used to have at the same depth and their own unique archnemesis mod each. (Much much lower than depth 600) no nerfs or resets, they still demolish pinnacle bosses effortlessly. But a couple hundred nodes down and its like if simulacrum had a wave 50 and I don't even need to see a rare to get swarmed. There are no tools to "overcome" this additional challenge, its a straight numeric buff that requires vastly more gear than a build should need to run that content. Levels of gear that frankly are unattainable for even the top 0.000001% of players. Multiple mirror builds can be dumpster'd by bad mechanic interactions. It isn't a challenge increase, its just broken balance. How do you do blight maps when some mobs can completely ignore both your damage and towers. Blight ravaged maps? Every system is showing these cracks. I can maybe believe they tested unjuiced map content by using pre-geared characters, that tracks. (mostly) I'm sure the pinnacle bosses and sentinel got a lot of testing time. But it's abundantly clear no one even attempted to look at old league content. Maybe because they thought it was irrelevant to this patch since we could just turn off the things we didn't want to run. These league mechanics were designed from the ground up to make the older easier rare affixes provide some level of challenge. Though shear numbers, additional buffs, or harder base monsters. That takes a lot of multipliers. And those same multipliers being combined with Archnemesis is just... this isn't a league, its a temporary race event where half of the game is disabled. These league mechanics weren't perfect when they launched, they took multiple patch cycles each to polish and get in a good place. Years of work. And now we're back to square 0. I cannot believe for a second that GGG is capable of making them engaging and rewarding again within this patch, maybe even before PoE 2 releases. And to everyone who enjoys the increased difficulty, good for you. There was always extremely challenging content in the game if you knew where to look for it. You got to opt in to 100% delirious 8 mod corrupted maps, or uber content like flawless breach stones, unrelenting legion encounters, blight ravaged maps, pinnacle boss fights... If you didn't find challenge in path of exile, that was on you. One of the most valuable parts of this game is player agency, the ability you create your own path. Your build, the content you want to run, and how invested you wanted to be in running it. And GGG clearly acknowledges this with all the work that has been put into improving atlas passives. There was always a hard campaign experience in gauntlet events or by running your own private league. Now the base game is basically gauntlet and we've removed the choice from people who don't want to run that level of content 24/7. You traded everything for nothing. Of course rare monsters need a rework, no one will dispute it. But this is the laziest attempt at fixing them I could imagine. It's sloppy, illegible, arbitrarily breaks builds base on obscure mechanics or specific uniques, and nukes years worth of enjoyable content from the game. I can't get over how this was presented, for all the drama in past leagues, I can't think of a change that was telegraphed as poorly. Described totally inaccurately. And just the outright misinformation on what the state of the game would be this patch. Its a totally failure on all fronts. not just delving
this modes make you dont want to touch any segment of the game ... Try go to syndicate lab , basic blight , Heist everything is like 10 time harder you cant escape them, specially in some contained areas of the game I totally agree whit statement : Basic gameplay in this league is GAUNTLET not normal POE gameplay they will have to fix this dramatically or this league is dead IMO |

OMG I'm not alone. I thought I'd post this and ppl would just shy away from this post. I just want to enjoy the game I loved. But I can't any longer. I'm not the .000001%. Please do some numerical changes GGG older content is unplayable let alone leveling was a nightmare. Can't really interact with anything unless near mirror level of gear.

All the blue monsters and yellow monsters in other area have same problem, the only thing i can do is die and revive,then die and revive.....

Did you guys play after the second nerf to rares? Because after 2nd nerf those rares feel just as easy as before rework. One mod rares do nothing.
