Atlas Passives We'd Love to See

After 2 years of watchstones and atlas tree choices allowing us to build our Dream Machine, I've seen some room for improvement.

Don't get me wrong, the current atlas tree and the sheer variety and versatility of the watchstone system was a huge QoL boost for mappers. That said, some league mechanics still clash with other league mechanics, and the potential bonanza for reconciling those clashes is vast.

So here's some notables we really would have loved to see, with a brief rationale behind each one, so it's not just "Oops All Candy Piñata Lol Cos I Said So".

Detective Retrospective: All syndicate encounters occur in a separate child instance in maps that also roll a deli mirror. That is to say, they all behave like Research Lab. You go in, the deli timer stops. Why do we need this? Because despite a year of promises that interrogating syndicants pauses the fog, we're still left scrambling to catch up after dealing with the idiots. Also, transportation going the wrong direction and you have to chase them down. Just...no.

Acme Industries: Pack up 1 unused Ritual Altar as a portable flat disk you position in any other map you like to create an instant Ritual Altar in that map, encompassing any monsters in its radius.
Ritual is a great way to seed monster variety and useful rares into maps that are otherwise lacking. This node takes it to the next logical step: bring Ritual into maps that don't roll it. Including unique maps. Yes, you heard me correctly. Plop down your Acme Instant Manhole Cover in the middle of Cortex, for all I care. (Placement has the approximate same placement distance and mechanics as Contagion; e.g. you don't need direct LOS on all the covered area, and it can be up to 2 screens away, as long as you have direct LOS on the centroid.) Limit 4. Yes, you can have a friggin entire Ritual encounter with all your pertinent buffs, in Cortex.

MasterBall: Einhar beasts are packed up and captured immediately, without an animation delay. Ever get tired of waiting for Einhar to scoop up "his" prey, you're either waiting for him to catch up and do his job, or you're moving on to the next beasts without him because he's way back there still cramming Stinkstink the Malodorous into a travel crate? Almost as bad as Nets. With this allocated, as soon as a beast hits 1 HP, it's done. Poof, into its Menagerie habitat. Gotta catch 'em all!

Beyoncé: Just a merge between Séance and Beyonder. All named Beyonder Demons spawn fully possessed. Free-roaming ghosts are not on a timer and can't be damaged. They just pop up in Bameth, flee his corpse, go into another cluster of beyonders, and pop up again in Haast. Lather rinse repeat until all the potential beyonder spawns are exhausted and there's 0 mobs left.

Roger the Shrubber: Harvest encounters in maps have ALL their available spaces planted with pairs of gardens, no more of this cheapshot 3-garden ripoffs.

Monoculture: Harvest encounters let you pick a tier 2/3 plant and from that point on, all your encounters of that color juice will be of that plant. Yes, you can once again enjoy the benefits of acres and acres of Primal Scrabblers or the yellow speed mod guys.

Crap Rotation: Harvest encounters with crappy guys let you reroll the type and tier of plants. Alternatively, wilt both plots to drop a Sacred Petal, which assembles into a Sacred Blossom so you can unlock your crap on your bench. The perfect solution to harvest plots found in low tier maps that you can't sell or use for high ilvl crafting.

I Don't Care Just Bring It: +1 Monster Level All Instances. Just Bring It.
Also on this small wheel: Leeeroyy Jenkinsss, Beat Me Daddy (8 To The Bar). Each offers +1 monster level to ANYTHING you stick in the map device. Stacks to +3. Go ahead, run that 5-way. Level 88 uber atziri come get some. Aw 11 Sirus. Aww yiss. I dare you.

Ventilation shaft: This is not an atlas passive. It's a currency you craft or buy from Niko. It lets you reroll mods on delve zones. It's that simple. Buy with azurite, or chaos orbs. Not looking forward to 100% AOE 400% crit 45% multi Aul? Reroll that shit until you hit something you can live with. (YOu can't scour a delve zone. Or maybe you can, you wuss.) Draws on the usual pool of delve mods for that depth. Enjoy your poop ground and stolen frenzy charges.

Monster Truck Rally: You and 5 other players in your party each race through a map with Metamorph packs in it. At the end of the map, each of you builds your own metamorph using the organs you picked up (in cases where you and several other ppl are equidistant from a sample-bearing monster, Tane decides randomly who gets the organ).

Instead of killing the monsters you've built, you pit them against each other lucha libre style. You cannot interfere with the battle. The last surviving monster then becomes targetable by players and you all have to kill it. Loot is allocated randomly and is all the loot of all the other monsters combined.

Long Fuse: Expedition charges can bend around corners, up and down stairs/levels of Tower maps, etc. Alternatively, you get X length of fuse cord. You may place as many or as few explosive charges as you like, until you run out of cord, then you must place the last one on that spot, if possible. This means if there's only 2 remnants you want, and they're at opposite ends of the map, you can legit go ahead and reclaim all the short cord segments from the other 3 charges and just lay them end-to-end to connect the remnants you want and skip the rest.

Synthesizer. Yep, it does just what it says on the tin. Brings back the Synthesizer for you to use. Comes with a free pair of white ilvl 86 two-toned shoes.

All Hands to the Bridge: Lets you ctrl-rtclick a Breach hand in a map and move it to a more suitable location. Also lets you rotate/flip it so any associated Breachlord's Clasped Hands will be accessible when it is activated. This is on the same wheel as "Take It Outside, You Five" (move a legion monolith out of a cramped area into a nice open spot) and "Takebacks" (move and rotate a deli mirror if you mess it up and have it spraying goons into a wall).

Everybody's Got One: Abyssal monsters can drop Abyssal Unset Rings, Amulets, and Trinkets. The abyssal socket is granted by an implicit.

a lot of what you're suggesting are actually league reworks that change how league mechanics work fundamentally
[Removed by Support]
not poo-pooing on anything, but keep in mind that league mechanics and other things are rendered or partially rendered BEFORE you enter an area. Therefore, things that CREATE a mechanic (such as your portable ritual idea) can't possibly work. Many of the other ideas likely cannot be programmed as well.

Well, I did originally post this in General Discussion, because there's no way anyone would take my suggestions 100% seriously, they're meant to be humorous.

I realize very well that you can't do like Wile E. Coyote and just pick up a breach hand as you would a traffic cone and move it somewhere else. Or a Ritual circle, or carry a legion mono out to the middle of a parking lot like some kind of exile Obelix.

That's the fun part though, isn't it? Imagine if we could.

Well, here we are in Honest Feedback, for what it's worth, thanks for reading and hopefully getting a chuckle out of today's downtime at work.

^well to be fair, you can now just pick up a temple and trade it to someone else so who knows....

Okay now we're getting into Just Delve Not Atlas territory (and I approve).

Concussion charge: Break all fractured walls within X radius. I: 5 tiles. II: 8 tiles. III: 10 tiles. Upgrade at the generator.
