F2P stash tab suggestion for PoE

1. Make stash tabs buyable with special in-game currency. Lets call them Plat.

2. You can buy the Plat on an in-game exchange for Chaos Orbs or other currency at a fixed exchange rate. Plat itself can't be traded.

3. Plat can also be bought directly with real money.

4. Each league you start with basic Stash Tabs and 1 Premium tab for trading.

5. If you want another Stash tab you have to put up an amount of Plat that depends on the type of Tab (10 for basic, 20 Premium, 90 for Quad etc.).

6. You then press a button and you get a fancy spinning thing on screen and it tells you if you won the new tab.

7. The chance of winning is shown on the screen before you press. It starts out at 70% but for each successful spin it decreases by 10%. On a losing spin the chance goes up by 5%.

8. You can increase the percentage chance of winning the stash tab by adding more Plat before the spin. The amount required to do this increases with the number of Stash tabs you already have (increase curve TBD).

This would make the game fully functionally F2P unless people feel that extending this system to current MTX that has a visual impact in the game would be a good idea? To get your stash tabs, you just have to grind enough currency and play in a smart way and you can get them for free.

Or if you would prefer to spend your in game currency on other things, you can just buy the Plat and hope you get lucky or buy enough to make the chance 100% each time.

I would assume that this is am improvement over the current system of buying the stash tab once and keeping it forever on your account.

buying stash with ingame currency is a no go, you might have noticed that ggg gives away their mtx for some tip money with mtx boxes and for free with league rewards, means they only make money with stash tabs.

also, giving new players a free trading tab means giving bots unlimited and free selling space cause email addresses are free too.

If you like the game just spend the 15 bucks or whatever and buy the tabs.

All the real free to play games have the best gameplay and friendliest community, but most of them have something in common.

They shut down within two years.

lmao you think people only look forward for the shitty challenge mtx and don't buy any other? idk about you but every time i join a party or am in a town there's multiple people with full mtx set and i doubt all of them got it buy accumulating the freebie ggg gives every few months or from challenge rewards haha

you can get all special tabs + 6x premium tabs for 60$
this is basicly the price of a AAA+ titel and a rather fair price
the good thing about poe is,that you can try the full game before deciding to pay or not

if you dont want that,sry but thats just "greedy"
ppl simply want to get paid for their work

there is nothing wrong with going full free to play on poe,some ppl just cant afford it
you can use stuff likes mules or 2nd account,this is allowed
just dont exspect every QoL or best time efficiency for free

compared to other "free to play" games,poe is rather fair in the "pay to win" part
even that poe is "pay to win" is rather close to be not "pay to win" since you cant get any kind of progress or combat power for money
having more space is still a very strong advantge and QoL

The tabs also go on rotating sale pretty often. If you are cheap, just wait for a sale before buying. Will be a decent amount less than $60 even.
