Malevolence has a 50% reserve cost. Arrogance starts with a 220% multiplier so unless you have some improvement to Life (NOT mana) Reservation Efficuency you'll never be able to reserve 110% of your life.
50% x 220% = 110% of your life meaning you would instantly die if you activate. Even at level 20 Arrogance still has a 200% multiplier so you'd still be reserving 100% of your life.
