Frostbite

OK, I love Frost Creep and I'm using a new build and it was all going great but then Frostbite was suddenly not castable, then it for a bit now it is not again. I do not understand, yes I'm a lame player, check.

I have the frostbite in a boot with Bane, Frostbite, Elemental Weakness and Punishment. Now to be fair I almost never use most of them but let us not get into too much detail :)

Why is frostbite not working I like it when my spells do extra damage, is it because my level is above the monsters? If that is the case fine :) Otherwise, I'm confused I see nothing on the gem: just the spell interface says you can't cast that directly but it does not show up as a support gem so please help.

The answer is most likely due to gem levels. Read your Bane skill gem, it supports linked curses up to a certain level (will increase with levels). So if your frostbite is a higher level, then it won't work with Bane.

I will try and expose my character (done), but I did look at Bane it says level 62, frostbite is level 62. However I'm actually not trying to cast bane I'm trying to cast Frostbite directly, and yes Bane is linked but it used to cast.

OK, I will admit I have a lot of issues about how smart you think I might be and I completely fail the int test daily but you got me on this one. So if I can't cast Frostbite just cast bane instead? OK, I will try that :) Thanks.
