Recommendations To 3 Link Cast When Damage Taken.

Hi. I currently have Molten Shell link together with Cast When Damage Taken. Really enjoyed this combination. I realised I could free up another slot as my golem was dying anyway 'with or without the minion life support'.

I then linked infernal cry together. However, I am not too sure if it is working as I have never seen it activated before. Just still the Molten Shell ... which makes me look like a golden michelin man.

Just wondering if infernal cry is able to work together with this. Or ... if there are any other suggestions to be linked together with Cast when damage taken.

Cwdt only support spells and warcries arent spells, that why it doesnt work.

You could link increased duration which would make your molten shells uptime potentially higher but also increases its internal cooldown.

Another little gimmick I like to run in a setup like this is a lvl1 coldsnap.
Just for the chill AoE (slowing down enemies) and occasionally getting some frenzy charges for more atk/cast speed as well as some generic dmg.

I think instead of Cold Snap, I am going to explore Wave Of Conviction.
... or add a curse (hex) if you have a "free" one.

Some summon a golem so there's something to distract enemies.

A Increased Duration gem is a good choice always.
(Support gems are not limited by level of cwdt.)

On a cold elementalist I use "Cast when stunned" with Ice Wall and Lightning Warp. But that's more for fun than for great use.
And you don't have a level limit as with cwdt.
Most times it's a (small) rescue but sometimes it causes death instead of preventing it.
