Archmage support not adding damage with lifetap support

"Supported skill have X to Y added Lightning Damage", this works fine with Lifetap.

"Supporter skills gain Added Lightning Damage equal to 75% of Mana Cost, if Mana Cost is not higher than the maximum you could spend", it seems pretty obvious that this 2nd part wouldn't give you damage because the skill supported by Lifetap doesn't have a Mana Cost.
Please look at the link in my second post, Mark confirmed it would add all damage.
He doesn't say anything there about things that have no mana cost. If it has no mana cost, then #% of the mana cost is always going to be 0, so you'd get no added damage from that.
In one example there was this question:

"This would add ~3265-3265 lightning damage to the spell (modified by added damage effectiveness) for the entire duration of the spell assuming my maximum life doesn't somehow drop below 2570?"

Note it said life, and Mark quoted exactly that part.

And the answer

Also that example used a Hiltless, I think Mark would have noticed that.

And also before that

Shouldn't that be at least like "Yes*" if he only meant the other damage?

I think this was supposed to work at some point, I just want confirmation how it is now. It would be ok if it doesn't work, I just need an answer because I can't get the idea out of my head.
In 3.14 cost/reservation stuff was reworked so it doesn't work like that anymore.
Yeah. Blood Magic specifically worked by having mana costs be paid for with life, but that's been changed so that things can actually just have life costs, and Lifetap Support now changes them to having life costs instead of mana costs. This affects Archmage Support.
