50fps lock on almost all nvidia geforce now computers. they all could easily handle 120fps
|
I use nvidia geforce now to play poe but most of its computers are locked to 50fps for some reason???? I have to rotate sessions in order to get one that isn't and it just sucks, and sometimes I just can't seem to get one, which sucks even more... I've tried contacting nvidia to no avail... please help

"most of its computers" means? Are you running 10 completely different PC builds, all with different Nvidia graphics cards?
Also what's the monitor you are using because that also limits fps. |

I have a 3080ti (!) and mine runs only 89 fps on avarage on ultra at 1440 p. satisfactory runs at 144 fps perfectly.
Yeah... so something mightbe worth looking into. |

" It has nothing to do with my computer. Nvidia geforce now is a cloud-gaming service. Most of the computers that you can get while connecting to poe have a rtx 10-8 which is comparable to a rtx 2080 ti, and they are locked at 50fps even though these computers can run other games that are A LOT more demanding than poe at 200fps+ (max settings)... it's not a matter of the computer not being able to run poe smoothly (because they totally can), it's just that it's locked at 50 fps for no apparent reason. I can play other games with uncapped fps (streaming is still at 60fps, but the rendering is way higher if vsync is not active). Even if vsync is active or not on poe its still at 50fps, max settings or otherwise... For reference, sometimes i connect to a pc that has a nvidia tesla p40 and it can run it at 60fps no problem, so it's definitly a problem from nvidia geforce now's service Last edited by CaptainFeed#2780 on Oct 23, 2021, 1:04:59 PM

^I am directly quoting you...something you are saying makes zero sense and you said it again in your next post. Perhaps its a translation error or something but your posting reads very...odd.
As for geforce app, that is only something you can take up with nvidia or put it in a general thread. That app has no connection and nothing to do with PoE or GGG so it doesn't exactly belong in feedback/suggestions. I do know that you aren't forced to use the app, you can set up your own settings and deactivate or not use geforce. Last edited by jsuslak313#7615 on Oct 23, 2021, 2:00:44 PM

Nvidia control panel > FPS Limit > Force Application Override > Vsync enabled
I have never felt further from what I know and love

PoE's fps is limited by Nvidia. If you are having problems like lag and fps drops while running PoE on geforce now with 50 fps limit, do the following:
1. In PoE graphics settings, disable vsync, dynamic culling and dynamic resolution 2. set foreground fps cap to 40 and enable it 3. set antialiasing quality to low 4. set texture filtering to 4x anisotropic This way the game will be limited to 40 fps, what is a safe value for these geforce now rigs. Everytime the fps goes down from 50 to 38-40 the engine tries to catch up and slow downs animations and processes. The higher the fps, worse is the drop. So you just set a lower value to the gpu and the game will run fine. You can press F1 inside the game and check the fps. Load a level with many enemies and look the fps while facing groups If a graphic card cant run the game steadly at 50 fps, it will not run higher. This is why nvidia limits the fps in the graphic profile of PoE on most geforce now rigs. And we, users, we cant alter the graphic profile or configure the nvidia control panel inside geforce now. We can only alter the graphic settings inside the game. Since the 3.16 update, I've noticed a drop in performance when running PoE on geforce now. But I don't know what the problem is. As as far as I know, the 3.16 update has no graphic changes. Last edited by CrisFenix#5279 on Oct 25, 2021, 10:30:11 PM
