PoB and the Announcement

Publishing the patch notes with the announcement was a fantastic idea.... but if you really wanted to give the community sufficient time to theorycraft before launch, you would have made sure PoB developers had finished incorporating the 3.16 changes.

On that subject, there is literally zero reasons why PoB should not be incorporated into the game officially. I do not know any players (besides newbies) who don't use PoB.


I'm curious if I'm in a bubble or are there actually experienced players out there who don't use it.

If you listened to the announcement live stream, Chris is definitely not impressed with PoB, and I dont think GGG really cares when in the slightest about 3rd party tools.

He said they are working on some better, internal version, but god only knows when that is coming.

Well if they would just tell us real information ingame, we wouldnt need it.

I love how ingame my tooltip will say 30,0000 but my ACTUAL damage will be 10,000,000.

I don't use it. I seriously can't remember the last time I opened it up. Early 3.0 perhaps?

The game is more than doable without, you just sometimes go off the rails and things don't work out with a build. But I've found that if you've played the game long enough, the tree and how builds come together is fairly straight forward.

I'm not the best player by a long shot, but I think I graduated from newbie somewhere in the mid-2010's.

Idk, no offense, I took a quick look at the gear on your chars and most of it is junk. I'd be surprised if you could any endgame bosses with any of your chars unless I skimmed too fast and missed a good one.

Except that just isn't really possible. So much of the multiplicative things that scale your damage are conditional buffs you have when you are in combat, debuffs that are applied, and the variable defensives the thing you are DPSing has. In other words things the tooltip can't track or even if it did you wouldn't see unless you were mousing over the tooltip while you were fighting.

8 mod maps are the new alch and go.
I am waiting, waiting...gonna buy new supporter pack when PoB is updated and compare my league starter build pre- and post-patch changes. :)

It is very simple - target dummy.
I read somewhere it is already coded into the game but is disabled.
