Armageddon Brand / Elemental Overload

The 3.16 manifesto specifies that 3 skills were docked on ignite power a bit because of their interaction with Elemental Overload: Incinerate, Divine Ire, and Armageddon Brand. I just wanted to specify that Armageddon Brand does not fit here. The first two are appropriate because they do a ton of mini hits for minor damage, and then explode, making crit chance unreliable toward ignites, but strong toward setting up Overload. Meanwhile, while Armageddon Brand hits a lot, every strike is equally powered. If you have enough crit to reliably set up EO, you're basically going to reliably set off a crit ignite as well, and crit ignites are 150% damage already, better than EO's 140%.

I'm not sure if a buff is applicable balance-wise, but putting that note on the manifesto made me nervous about it.

I attempted to make Arma Brand work for Ignite but I was never successful to achiev any respectable single target damage.

Is there some recipe I am missing? The mention in the manifesto is strange to me. Anybody has a reference on some good Armageddon Brand ignite abuse?
I would appreciate it :)

The thinking here is that brands hit many, many times per cast, and roll crit chance separately for each individual hit; therefore they take less (specifically, zero) crit investment to have full uptime on Overload.

That being said, I have no idea how good Ignite-Armageddon Brand even is right now, it's something I haven't considered playing or thought about in years.
