📸 Screentober 2021 🦚 — Please Participate!

Inktober is a month long art challenge created by artist Jake Parker that is focused on improving skill and developing positive drawing habits. Every day for the month of October anyone participating in the Inktober challenge creates an ink drawing and posts it online.

I think it would be awesome if we did our own thing here, the SCREENTOBER!

How would this work?
Every year, there is a promptlist with a word per day (or week) that is a theme of your art. But instead of art, we'll make and post, of course, Path of Exile SCREENSHOTS!

You can find the 2021 prompt below. Each day of October has a word (subject) assigned to it. It means that, according to this year prompt, on the first day of October we post something related to crystal(s), like delve, a hideout decoration, Crystal Veins.. I think an Oriath templar form would be suitable for Day 2, or it could be your go-to battle MTX...aren't they kind of suits, after all? Or... whatever suits you. And so on, and so on, and so on...



Why participate?
If it's not your thing then I'm afraid I won't convince you. There are no rewards for it besides your satisfaction. However:

• It's a great opportunity to see Wraeclast from a different perspective — seriously, try pressing F8 in random moments and you may be amazed with what fun details and scenes you accidentally capture!
  (yeah, yeah, I know, the spam, the clutter...but sometimes you can find real gems in your screenshots folder)
• It's fun!
• It's a great way to give positive feedback to these poor guys who just want to make art, but are only blamed for making too many MTX
• It's one more way to spend time in Wraeclast when you're addicted to the game, but kinda bored with your build already.
• It's a relatively small task to contribute to your daily dose of dopamine!
• I am feeling too low do it alone and I am kindly asking you :)

Why are you doing this, Cobra?
Long time ago, there used to be a thread named Daily Wraeclast Screenshot created and maintained by Altnaharra. It was one of my fondest memories of this forum. During the Path of Exile gameplay we get a lot of feelings ranging from pure joy to extreme frustration, but that thread captured the best of them, uniting the best kind of people (or at least showing the best side of bad people :P). Unfortunately, it's gone and even my contributions to it were erased.

Then there was DerroK's thread with truly amazing setups, but that was a personal thread, and the creator is either gone for good, or took a long break.

I'd like to try to make another screenshot-related memory and I'm hoping to gather enough like-minded people to have another "Daily* Screenshot Thread" in the forum (wrote Cobra, fearing no-one would ever post here).

What can I do with my screenshots, where to find them, and how to post them?

You can crop them, rotate them, you can add a frame to them, you can slightly edit the colours or contrast I guess... just keep the game spirit and keep the scene recognisable. 'twould be nice if you mention they were edited.

You can make a screenshot by pressing F8 key in game. They will be located in your %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile\Screenshots folder.

To post them in this thread, you have to upload them to an external site. I use imgur. Make sure the link ends with .jpg and then put it between img tags (click "IMAGE" button when writing a post). My lazy way is to send the picture myself on Discord and then copy its link.
