Is Standard ever played or just seasons?

Does Standard even have a meta?

I want to come back and play on my toons but is it worth playing standard?

its good and u can do any meta bcs of legacy and much more stuff here

Define "worth"?

Leagues are good if you have 16 hours to play every single day.

For everyone else, playing standard provides a way higher return on time invested. You don't need to regrind Atlas/Crafting/Lab every single league and you just keep building up currency / items / chars you can use. People hate on standard, but it has a lot going for it from a casual perspective.

Standard has more build options than the league due to legacy items. It is usually less populated and so trading is less lucrative. For those that only play for an hour or two per day, standard may work better.

Standard is pretty great if you're self-sufficient and/or have plenty of stuff left over from previous temp leagues. If you're overly dependent on trade, maybe not so much.

I think if something is meta in league it can be meta in standard.

Is it worth playing league? Everything goes to standard in 3 months.

Yes, there are dedicated standard players, so it is definitely played.
Inflation is rampant, so if you're not playing SSF with your built-up collection of items, you might find buying stuff harder for a) lack of currency and b) lack of traders.

However, worth it? If you're after fun, standard can definitely be worth it, because it's the same as league without the most recent league mechanics and challenges.
If you define "worth it" as making lots of currency... probably not.

Standard is like SSF league except without the league mechanic.

If that sounds good, play standard.

No idea why you say this but there is still trading left in Standard. Ok due to the mistake of implementing harvest, a lot of perfect or near perfect items are floating around in Standard who no one is buying because there are too many of them and most players lack the cash anyway. Selling big ticket items is really hard in standard but if you yourself are trying to purchase smaller items, a lot is available at cheaper prices than in league.

If you can only play a few hours, it is much wiser to stick to standard than playing league. Also global chat is very active in Standard.
