Lifetap and duration support gems interaction

Hello there. I've found something interesting and can't tell if it's intended or not. If you support your skill with Lifetap, you could put any duration support gem into this setup and it will give damage even to your active skill if it doesn't have "Duration" tag on it.
For example
Rightous fire cannot be supported by Swift affliction or Less duration gems because it doesn't have "Duration" tag. But if you support Rightous fire with Lifetap, Swift Affliction and Less duration start working and increase Righteous Fire damage.

Yeah, this is known interaction, it's cool you found it by yourself (seems like).

Lifetap adds duration component to a supported skill. This allows supports that have duration property also support that skill.

Tags are not involved here, they're intended for other purposes and they can't be changed.
