Fenumal Plagued Arachnid

I bought the "split beast", and right clicked on it. I got message saying "This Beast has been successfully added to your bestiary."
and right after it "Failed to save captured monster: The operation timed our". So now I don't have the itemized beast, but I don't have one in menagerie either. Did I just *poof* my 50c beast, or am I missing something here?

"have you tried to turn it off and on again" finally was a proper solution. Re-entered menagerie and it worked just fine.. Not the best user experience though.
