My first love from junior high died young due to complications from surgery related to one of the many e.coli outbreaks in the 90's. If I ever found her again, I'd be like

I appreciate your concern. There is definitely something strong, between us, even now. I've known we were meant to be together since we were kids. I feel really good about this.

I know we're not even guaranteed that the sun will rise, tomorrow, but this really does feel right. :-)

I'm sorry to hear that, but, your twisted humor, regarding that, seems to suggest you're ok with it, now. Had that happened to my first love, I would see this, if I found her.

I thought about her a lot over the years. We really had something special back in the day.

I'm in Michigan. I woke up around 5 a.m. the morning of my trip and I drove from the panhandle of Texas all the way up to Downriver Michigan in one shot. I didn't get any sleep until after 10 p.m. the night the night I got here.
