What's everything we know about Instilling Orbs?
So what's everything we know about this new item? There's nothing on the wiki yet and I haven't found any discussion on this forum either.
I haven't yet seen one in game (I'm lv. 51). Anyone know what lv. they drop at? Has anyone put together a list of all the trigger conditions? Anything else you know about them? Please share. :) Last bumped on Jul 27, 2021, 1:43:35 PM

Thanks for that list! Do you know how many instilling orb modifiers I can apply to 1 flask? Can the flask be any rarity? Does it take up an affix of a magic flask?

I've got another question. Instilling orbs can roll both 'use when frozen' and 'use when chilled' if I'm correct. POE wiki says 'When a target is frozen, it is also considered chilled'. If this is true, does 'used when chilled' also trigger the flask when you become frozen? That would mean 'use when chilled' is just a better version of 'used when frozen'. I can't image that would be true... Does anyone know more about this? Can you get frozen without being chilled and is poe wiki wrong about always being considered chilled when frozen?

" 1. "Better" is subjective. If you don't care about Chill and/or have other means of dealing with Chill, but do care about being Frozen, "Used when Frozen" is better than "Used when Chilled" so that you don't waste Flask charges. 2. The default mechanics for Chilled and Frozen use the same base damage, which is what causes wiki to say "When a target is frozen, it is also considered chilled." However, that statement was written by humans and was likely written back in 2013, when things that subvert default mechanics were relatively uncommon. I'm almost certain that the Remnants which cause "All Damage from Monsters can Freeze/Monsters have 10% Chance to Freeze" does not also inflict Chilled in the same manner, because Chilled and Freeze are two different ailments. So the short answer is that you do still want "Used when Frozen" IMO, at least for the length of Expedition League if you are playing Expedition League. I can see there might be situations in where you only want the flask tot pop automatically when you get frozen, instead of anytime you're chilled, so 'better' wasn't the right word I agree. But thanks for the explanation!

Can you still activate a flask manually if it's setup with an instilling orb?
