[Mac] Now that there're better performance metrics, any hope to fix in-game graphic issues on MacOS?

I've been having the same issue with in-game textures since the 3.14.1d patch, and I've seen people here with similar problems playing PoE with MacOS.

I've posted this before, but the issue hasn't been addressed or improved in the recent patches. Since now I can post the screenshots with better performance metrics, I'll try again, and hopefully this can be addressed in the near future :(

Basically, the in-game textures usually load in okay at start-up, but disappears after a while, especially when the map is large or when there are a lot of mobs. Whenever this happens, the VRAM metric will say "CRITICAL", and things will go blurry. Textures sometimes re-load upon re-entering towns/hideouts.

I also cannot play the game fullscreen anymore, as the textures will just disappear straight up. Again, this wasn't a problem before 3.14.1d -- game's performance was great before that patch.

Here are screenshots of what it looks like:

And here are screenshots of my in-game settings and Mac specs:

Any plans on addressing this in the future? Or any suggestions on how to fix this on my end? Thx.

Hey there, it looks like you're running out of VRAM, so the game uses the lower resolution textures.
You can try setting your Texture Filtering to Trilinear.
Also, for Dynamic Resolution, if you tick that button next to the slider, it'll force the client to use a lower resolution.
Which will impact your visual appearance, but hopefully make things run smoother.
Ensuring there aren't any other background programs using VRAM while playing will also help to alleviate this problem.
Thanks for the suggestions. Performance is slight better after the adjustments, but VRAM is still critical in fullscreen and occasionally in maps. This is quite weird as the game did not have these issues before the 3.14.1d patch, which likely means that my VRAM should be sufficient for the game's graphics in default setting, but something has gone wrong after that patch...

Enabling Dynamic Culling will also help with FPS.
You can move that slider to the left more on Resolution Factor more.
But for VRAM, other than making sure the Discrete graphics card is being used, I don't have anything else to suggest.

Hi,

About the VRAM Critical issue,
also with my Specs:
Radeon Pro 570:

Chipset Model: Radeon Pro 570
Type: GPU
Bus: PCIe
PCIe Lane Width: x16
VRAM (Total): 4 GB
Vendor: AMD (0x1002)

As soon the map loads extra content, Harvest-Ultimatums-etc. it goes instantly to Critical.

To have an idea, which are the minimum specs to run PoE without overloading the VRAM?

Tnks
I have the same PC specs as OP and also have the same issues after patch 3.14.1d. Performance was absolutely fine before the patch, but now I have huge stutters and texture issues. Hopefully there will be a fix before the new league.
Same issue here. Game is pretty much unplayable. Also cant see items in inventory when it happens.
