Need Help with a Craft in SSF

Hey all,

i found this bow in SSF and i would like to make the best out of it.
If i manage to remove the suffixes, need the recipy and exalteds, what would be the best to do next?

Prefixes are kinda lucky rolled in my eyes for SSF. So what sould i do to get the max out of that bow?

The rolls are:

1. Prefix:
T1 (120-139% phys dmg + 21-25% chance to blind)
2. Prefix:
T5 (35-44% phys dmg + 73-97 accuracy)
3. Prefix:
T3 (22-30 to 46-56 phys dmg)

TY for any help!

Hey there. So, to max it out and be sure to not brick it I see one option:

1. Clear the suffixes as you said
2. Craft "Prefixes cannot be changed" into Harvest "reforge an item including a speed modifier"

This second step gives you a guaranteed attack- or projectile speed. If you get projectile or a bad roll you could repeat it. If you hit 3 suffixes you would start over with step 1, reforging the suffixes to clear space for prefixes cannot be changed.

3. Once you have a decent level of attack speed: Hillock T4 Transportation for 30% quality and Aisling T4 Veiled Slam Research. There are several interesting options, like crit strike multi while rare/unique is nearby, 18% quality + accuracy, 18% quality + crit strike chance, etc. Since it´s a Decimation Bow with Crit implicit I´d definately consider going the crit route with it.

4. You can now just craft another 18% quality-mod on it for higher flat damage, that´s the most deterministic way. Else you could also opt for a Warlord-Ex-Slam:
Your options here are
Culling Strike (weight 500)
Incr. 10-20% Physical Damage + Maim (weight 1500)
Chance to gain PHasing on Kill (weight 1500)
Skills fire an additional projectile (weight 200)

I´d consider the first 2 the most interesting ones, and with that overall weight it is worth to consider this, though it is of course a gamble. But if you really want to perfect the bow and are unhappy with the outcome you could always go back to step 1 though :D

What route you go comes down to the gem you would wish to use, the other gear and the overall build, but those are the most reliable and useful options I think.

edit, I just saw you don´t need to start with clearing the suffixes as there is an open suffix so you can start right away with step 2.

TY so much for the time to answer!
Just wanted to give a +1 Vennto for giving a top tier answer, big respect.

Can you explain this just a little more for someone new to crafting? Is there a way to clear suffixes without scouring? And for #2, you can craft an item so prefixes can't be changed, then find a Harvest map and reforge it to keep those suffixes?

That seems rather powerful. I'm used to playing this as just an item hunt with occasional orbs to reroll items.

Yes, Harvest has two "keep prefixes" crafts, "Reforge a Rare item, keeping all Prefixes" and "Reforge a Rare item with Lucky modifier values, keeping all Prefixes."

That said, I wonder if Vennto had a brain fart there, because I don't see the point in step 1. Lock prefix + reroll speed in Harvest will already reroll all the suffixes while keeping prefixes, so there's no point in doing anything special to clean the suffixes beforehand. Maybe he just meant to remove the crafted modifier of 8% IAS? But the crafting bench will automatically spend 1 scour to do that for you when you select the "Prefixes can't be changed" craft. So I'm guessing Vennto just had a brain fart.

Guess I'm just unlucky. I've gotten quite a few Harvest maps but none of those crafts yet, and I've been paying attention to them to see what they offer.

Yes, the keep prefix/keep suffix crafts are quite low spawn chance weight. Not sure if you play SSF like OP or if you do trade league - if you do, and if you want to experience strong Harvests, I've heard it helps a lot to stack "Harvest Crops in Areas have an extra chance to grow higher Tier Plants" on 4 Platinum Haewark Hamlet Watchstones, plus all Harvest passives in Haewark.

So far, it does seem to dramatically increase the rarity of crafts that appear, but that could simply be confirmation bias and/or luck.

Something I neglected to mention the first time around is that the keep prefix/keep suffix modifiers can (rarely) roll from the following seeds: "Allows you to modify an item, resulting in Lucky modifier values when Harvested," "Reveals a random crafting effect that reforges a Rare item a certain way when Harvested." Those seeds are more likely to return the "same mods more/less likely" and "reroll the values of suffixes/prefixes/implicits" respectively, but Haewark's "Plants harvested in areas are more likely to give less common Crafting Options" seems to help get the keep prefix/keep suffix more often, and the previously mentioned Platinum watchstone modifier seems to cause the "certain way" and "Lucky" seed types to appear much more frequently (since I believe they are Tier 2 seeds).
