New +9 levels helmets this league - what is the best use for them?
With the introduction of the option to transition the unique "+2 to level of Socketed Gems" corruption to a random unique helmet, a new monstrous options to set +9 levels to Aura Gems (with reduced reservation on the helmet) or to Gems in general(and some OK resists) appeared.
The aura helmet is obviously Alpha's Howl, and the generic one is Geofri's Crest. Probably other options exist too, please share. Which skills will benefit the most from such a huge boost, what do you think? (hint, use Empower 4 properly to get +9 levels) P.S. Tried to post this info on Reddit, but my post is being moderated for sooooooo long, that it is becoming interesting. Last bumped on Jun 11, 2021, 7:35:03 AM

it doesn't transfer it tbh changes to a random unique with its own implicits kept I believe, so you can get nearby enemies have malediction on another unique helmet.
so OP is talking about if you get a +3 socketed gems geoffri's or a +2 aura +2 socketed gems alphas howl Though really a double corrupted viridi's has a higher potential I think Last edited by Draegnarrr#2823 on Jun 10, 2021, 12:35:38 PM

Well, think whatever you want, the wiki says "Transform into another unique helmet, retaining its implicit modifier(s)", and there are some examples in the market.

you didn't write transform you wrote transition, and Vennto wrote transfer I was just clearing it up lmao its ok I understood what you meant
Basically no need to get defensive I was just helping another poster understand what you were talking about :p |

" From the point of view of the corrupted mod behavior, I think my wording was OK. The corruption is effectively transitioned: the underlying base changes, but the corrupted mod remains. From the underlying mechanical point of view a different wording describes the whole process better, but for the end user it looks like "the corrupted mod transitions to the new helmet" in the user interface. Also, my apologies for going personal, that was not well. |
