[3.14] Penance Brand Hiero. Low Life + Indigon + No Holy Conquest. One shot bosses with 70M+ hits.

Introduction
Hi, i always wanted to play Penance Brand without Holy Conquest, because whenever i saw anybody play this skill, they all used that cluster notable. And i felt its not right, that the skill, that supposed to ramp up and explode doesnt do it. So i ended up with Hierophant with big explosions and big hits.

All the info and gameplay you can find in the videos below
My monologue about the build and some clips: https://youtu.be/vckjWjsJv_Q
Sirus A9: https://youtu.be/Zi4V6gsYLDU
T17 100% delirious map: https://youtu.be/utH4-iAAzq0
Regular T16 maps: https://youtu.be/DyWpbD_Ate4

Pros
+++ Damage
++ Clear speed
++ Defences (for SC)
++ All content viable (for Atziri you have to deal with reflect by using specific rare rings)
+ Gear can be obtained without Harvest
+ Chaos damage is not a big issue
Cons
-- Delayed damage (~1.4s)
-- Cannot run phys/elem reflect and no regen maps
- Damage is not stable, burst has a cooldown of ~8s
- Not a league starter because of 4 key uniques
- High-end gear requires 100-200ex

Looks nice!

Do you have a gear progression guide?

Like could I try your build on a 10ex budget and work from there? What items would I swap out?

I had something like this when i rerolled from improvised Storm Brand build, which i used for leveling. The main differences: i used Mindspiral instread of Indigon, and Archmage with 6-link. With this setup you should comfortably play generic t16 maps, and look for upgrates from there.

really cool build. nice job
Hey man. Just wanna thank you for a no bs brand. The damage output and playstyle are very enjoyable. I'm currently sitting at 55m sDPS with a bit scuffed gears. I must say this build function very well within under 100ex. I don't think I bought all the items over 70ex to kill A8 deathless plus other boss in 2-3s and skip all phases.

Would be great if you can look at my item and suggest where should I upgrade next in term of damage and survivability. I have 150ex lying around to burn.

I also have 4 triple multi jewels.

- If your current Cinderswallow has 1/1/1% recovery (in POB its different), then thats the first thing to upgrate. In dense maps you would double+ your recovery just by having 3% ES on kill and 2-3% mana on kill.
- For clear you can look for more cast speed, because it directly influence the size of the explosion.
- Having 4 brands is really convenient. You can damage two bosses in parallel (Maven's Crusible for example). And it helps with clear a bit.
- Indigon should be with 25% spell damage bonus. And your current POB slightly overtuned, because with current gear you should have 10-12k mana spent in 2 seconds. So you can gain damage here, by pushing Indigon further through max mana and regen.
- Gloves with 50% phys to lightning would allow you to buy a better Watcher's Eye (easiest way to burn money).
- Bottom part of the tree with Unnatural Instinct i found insufficient in my own build. But im not sure about yours.
- I see Shield Charge + Fortify as the best survivability/mobility multiplier for this build. But alot of people just dont like the skill, and you would have to rearrange all of your links (you can get double curse from ring/gloves).
- You can get crit multi on your wand instead of a trigger. Remove Orb of Storm, self cast Sigil and move exposure from WoC to Corrosive Elements on tree, or self cast it too with hextouch. You would also get +1 link.

I spoke about all important parts (from my perspective) of this build in the first video, and only forgot to mention, that Disorienting Display is important. So i cant really suggest more.

Maybe I'm missing something but, where do you get your extra curse? You have assa's mark on ring + Conductivity with hextouch.

I switched to penance recently, it feels quite enjoyable, but I feel a bit squishy. Is there no point playing with MoM?

Awakened Hextouch at level 5 can apply additional curse over your limit.

You can play hybrid with MoM + double leech, and it would be better defensively, but alot less damage and cast speed (which is really important). Low Life version lives through action and damage, if you just stay still - you will die. You have to always move and kill something, sustain flasks/fortify/arcane cloak/frost shield. Boss fights can be troublesome if you dont have enough damage - you would have to play good, because all of your sustain is ES leech. And you also can just build more defences and drop some damage, i mentioned some options in the video.
