5way continuously crashing's
Good Afternoon GGG Support,
I know you have looked into this 5way crashing issue many times but, I dont know why im crashing so much. I have literally done everything turn off all my volume and put the graphics to the lowest settings, i have a GTX 1080 and a i5- 9th gen cpu..... my pc can run any game with the max settings and fps, but in this current patch ive been getting many issues. I have hosted so many 5ways in TFT and 90% of my runs are continuously crashing. I have spend over 200 exalts down the drain in the past 2 days and I think this issue has to be solved. I really hope there is a solution to this problem its not fair for players that are spending 14 hrs a day grinding and cant have our games running without crashing. Thank you, Svencer Last edited by notsvencer on May 28, 2021, 11:40:31 AM Last bumped on Sep 11, 2024, 12:33:38 PM

hi, i can explain this problem from prolonged observation. im 95% sure of it. this happens when theres a large variance in ping between the different players.
their netcode is just well, bad. i know this because i've done a lot of 5-way runs and group play. `Spent 2 mirrors on my build, but I'm only Level 98.` LOL
`From just quick sweep of your characters, toxic rain, golems .. sure, non meta... sure.` LOL | |
Has this been happening to you a lot as well

of course, else i wouldnt talk about it. its annoying really, this game can actually be decent, if only they understood their own game well enough. i found it especially funny when the 'boss' was promoting this league [preview] and then had to be corrected by his staff.
i dont wanna mention names, they seem to spend more energy moderating than improving game ... and idk, whether they are ignoring with a whole page of similar complaints. (im very disappointed) `Spent 2 mirrors on my build, but I'm only Level 98.` LOL

Okay so everyone looking for a hot fix i found it
For standalone client -Launch options standalone instruction.png -Create a shortcut for Client.exe -Right click the shortcut -Select Properties -Navigate to Shortcut tab -Add options to the Target: "...\Path of Exile\Client.exe", after the quotes type in : --noasync --waitforpreload --nosound --nologo For Steam version -Open Steam -Navigate to Library tab -Right click Path of Exile -Select Properties -Navigate to General tab -Click Set Launch Options... same thing for steam client ^^ In game settings: 1. DirectX11 2.Disable Foreground FPS Cap 3. Enable background FPS Cap (30) 4. Antialiasing (OFF) 5. Lighting (Shadows) 6. Shadow Quality (LOW) 7.Sun Shadow quality (LOW) for the next few settings put everything on low or off 8. Bloom (OFF) 9,Texture filtering ( 2x Anisotropic Filtering) 10. Dynamic culling/ Dynamic resolution (Disabled) 11. Engine Multithread ( Enabled) Sound setting: everything off UI: Networking (Predictive) Screenshake (disabled) |

I tried the settings and sometimes I still crash. I also so a yt video to set bg fps cap to 2 and scroll lowest traget frame rate to lowest. Click "G" while being afk in the run helps as it opens the atlas the whole swssion, does this help? I'm almost level 100 but these crashes are frustrating.
