Endless Abyss in Delve (Crystal Spire) - 5 min and still spawning

Hy,

I just reached the Crystal Spire (Fossil Node) in an Abyss area, Depth 279 and an Abyss opened with abyss spawns appearing. I have no idea if the event ended or not, since I have never encountered this version of an abyss event in Delve (usually there is a spire or something), this one just has 3 holes. I can use the crawler but I get neither loot nor xp. The Fossil dropped at reaching the node, there was no container or kill drop.

As I am writing this, its now 10 min since I reached the node and mobs are still spawning. Not sure whats up.
