Abyss-themed Fossil node in the Mines had a hole with endless monsters.

Video link. I speed up the video to x2 after the first 30 seconds, then speed it up 4x from 1 minute until the end. You may choose to watch all the way but if you've seen the first 10 seconds, it's basically the same till the end.)

I got to a Fossil node at Depth 411 and it was Abyss themed. After fighting off some monsters it dropped a Hollow Fossil, but then the abyss hole wouldn't stop spewing out monsters.

I kept at it for several minutes until I decided that something must be wrong. I thought maybe the game expects me to move on to the next node? But the thing is, delve usually involves clearing out the current node - or having the option to do so before moving on - and this node just wouldn't stop.

The monsters didn't grant any XP either, but then I thought maybe the XP comes at the end like Azurite nodes where you clear all the waves and you get your XP at the same time the Azurite explodes. In any case, it took so long that I just ported back to the entrance.

What was the deal here? Could be a bug.
