Hex vs. Mark with Curse rings

Since the curse rework, the influenced mods have different wordings for marks and hexes. Redeemer has "Curse enemies with Frostbite on Hit" while Shaper has "Trigger Assassin's Mark when you hit a Rare or Unique Enemy."

It is good that they have different mechanics because marks are limited. However, the specific wording means that mark rings do not work with traps, for example. This is because hex rings "curse on hit" but marks "trigger when YOU hit."

This does not seem intended and just a consequence of the curse rework. Potentially, "Curse rare or unique enemies with Assassin's Mark on hit" may solve this issue but I do not know if the back-end can support that. Alternatively, this presents opportunities for unique items, ascendancies, or new influenced mods that return this functionality to those archetypes.
