Everlasting Sacrifice + Doryani's Fist sometimes doesn't work

"+<num> Energy Shield Gained on Killing a Shocked Enemy" doesn't seem to work with Everlasting Sacrifice only sometimes, meaning, it will sometimes grant the buff and sometimes remove all of my ES, and sometimes do neither and won't proc.

I used Blood Rage to force my ES to shift a bit to show that leech and the ES granted on kill is working.

From the video, we can see that the first, second, and third pack correctly grant Everlasting Sacrifice (albeit buggy in that the ES doesn't seem to be removed - the ES value also bounces up and down between maximum and a bit below max), however the rest of the packs killed did not grant Everlasting Sacrifice. To add onto this, at around the 0:17 mark, the ES value rapidly bounces between 452 and 454, which is only a little under half of my maximum ES (945).
