100% cpu usage - caused by engine multithreading ?
Hello, so I had an issue where the game was extremely choppy. Especially when enemies appeared, the game would really fps drop almost killing me in the process.
In task manager, I found out I had 100% cpu usage. Anyway, after disabling engine multithreading, the cpu usage still sometimes spikes to 100%, but it is usually just during loading screen and then a bit after loading into a location. With multithreading, it is at 100% the majority of the time. my specs are: OS:windows 10 Ram: 16 gb gpu: RTX Super 2060 CPU: i5-9400F both the game and the OS are on SSD It is still a bit choppy at times, but not as much. Why is it better, when that option is supposed to actually make better usage of your processor? Is there something wrong with my CPU or is it just horrible optimalization or something? I've almost the same specs and I've the same issue, the CPU usage goes to 100%.

Yeah I scoured reddit and found someone with exactly the same GPU, CPU and operating system and they had the same issue, fixed by disabling multithreading.
Sadly the game is still quite choppy, with the cpu going into 100% at times still. But at least now it is playable. |

Ok I solved the issue completely by switching from direct 11 to vulkan renderer.
The game is now at steady 75 fps, no drops. |
