Unaffected by Desecrated Ground/Unaffected by Poison

Can someone explain to me how am I still taking damage by desecrated ground when I have elevated it to unaffected by poison.

Desecrated ground is chaos damage, not poison.
Unaffected by poison only works on poison damage, not other types of chaos damage such as desecrated ground. 😹😹😹😹😹

" Being able to be unaffected by poison means you can still get stacks of it that are abusable with related items, jewels, and sextants. I agree that it is a bad elevate though. |

" Because 'Unaffected by Poison' is a somewhat related, but MUCH more powerful mod than 'Unaffected by Desecrated Ground'. The latter would be seen as a dead mod (mod that no one values but takes up an affix slot) on items, while the former is actually required on certain builds (although there's a few other ways to get it, but they all have their own downsides).
