How to stop automatic zoom?

While playing, my game suddenly zooms in or zooms out. I thought it is because of "Camera Rotation Effects" and I unchecked it in UI options. But the game still zooms in randomly.

This makes it difficult to me since I play as a ranger and maintaining distance from enemies is crucial for me. And with game zoomed in, often I cannot see enemies approaching or attacking me and hence, cannot attack them back.

How do I stop the game from zooming in automatically and always remain zoomed out?

You are probably hitting the middle mouse button (scroll). By default that's the zoom button. You can change your key assignments in the options menu. I set my zoom to the page up key.

That's a bad button to use as default zoom. The button is used for skills, and the scroll is used for zoom. It's way too easy to accidentally scroll when click the middle button.

uncheck it if you dont want it too zoom. Not sure if your issue.

im actually also having this issue where the game for some reason starts zooming fully in without me using the scroll wheel or even having that option ON in the first place
