High budget boss killer?

Hello fine folks of the forums, was hoping you all could give me a little advice. I am looking for a tanky (ideally ES based) boss killer build. If I liquidate all the gear on my characters I'd be looking at around 250-300 ex (probably more, estimated a bit conservatively), I'm assuming with that budget can make one helluva boss slayer.

You'll be disappointed with the result. This game isn't all about gear.

Cold BV Pathfinder and Aurastackers come to mind. High dps, fairly tanky, good clear and expensive as hell. Should be able to make a halfway decent version of those with 300 EX.

There's a one-shot Hollow palm ice crash zerk on reddit. Even one-shoting a 6 man HP Sirus...

learn the mechanics and everything is a good bosskiller.
never got why people build specific boss killing characters in this game, given all the phasing theres no real benefit to me between killing a boss in 1:30 or 1:40, especially with such high investments and low returns from boss kills. For mapping on the other hand investments result in increasingly exalts/hour quite consistantly. |

never got why people build specific boss killing characters in this game TBH more meant from a surviability standpoint, not as much damage. My mistake, should have clarified. I'm totally fine doing mechanics and not one shotting bosses. I just would like a build that doesn't die if I get grazed by a mechanic. I've killed most end game bosses in past leagues with an ES tri-curse Bane ED occultist. But that build is kinda boring to play after a few leagues, and unless you swap out bane for contagion it has terrible clear. So was looking for something a bit more fun to play with decent clear, doesn't have to be insane have characters with good clear. Just want something quite tanky, ideally ES as I just like those builds better, but that also has good dps. Alot of super tanky builds that I've looked up have garbage dps, don't need like 100million one-shotting bosses levels of dps, just decent. Well... you dont have those 300Ex. Its a lot harder to sell gear in this stage of the league. Most of the players already have build and dont plan to spend on a new one, or did already quit this league.
But good luck selling those gear. |
