hello I recently downloaded path of exile and when I run the games a window appears and says CreateBuffer: The parameter is incorrect I have looked on the official forum and I cannot find renderer_type

Could you try running Path of Exile using the Vulkan renderer, and let us know if the game launches for you? You can learn how to manually change it in the spoiler below:

To do so, press the Windows Key + R. In the window that pops up, type the following line in: "%userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile" and press enter. A folder should open up with a file inside that is called "production_Config.ini." Right click on this item, and select 'Open With' and select 'Notepad'. From there, press CTRL + F and type in "renderer_type" and press enter. It should highlight an entry in the notepad that looks like this: renderer_type=DirectX11 Change it to: renderer_type=Vulkan Save the file. Then try running Path of Exile. | |

Update: Steam Client Faces the same Problem as the Standalone. You might wonder, why someone would want to run PoE on a VM. So here is my Reason: I noticed that both Steam and Standalone PoE mess with my Sound. For Some inexplicable reason it seems to affect sound quality etc. So I am trying to isolate PoE from my host system in Order, to enjoy my 1500€ Sound Setup with nice music during gameplay. :-) Last edited by IRaGeU#7424 on Mar 6, 2021, 6:01:30 PM

It would seem that the problem has made it out my way as well, unfortunately I can not find the word renderer anywhere in the code. Please advise!

Actually the game minimal requirement is Nvidia 650 (and trust me , even you have that card you have ~20 fps)
If you have any onboard graphic i am not sure it is able to run this game. While for Apple M1, it is not able to run as confirmed by GGG and they are fixing it but seem not this patch (edit : fixed before 3.14 league start) I would suggest PC user that use Intel onboard graphic, the solution is simple. But a dedicated graphic card. e.g. 900 series, 1000 series, 16XX, 20XX or the latest 30XX series This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. Hi i go same problem. I tried runing volcano ends up my computer display stop working. Please help i spent 120 dollars just few days ago and now i can not play this is a lot money in my country.
