Affixes-Lock and Maven´s Orb

I just wonder if this interaction is actually wanted?

Maven´s Orb was introduced as a powerhouse-crafting option for lategame to produce a new ceiling of top-tier items. As always, this has to come with more costs. Totally fine with that so far.

As I understood the perspective on the orb I always thought it HAS to remove a second influence-mod to elevate a former one. Now there are multiple ways to work around that:

- Create elevated Influence Mods on different items, then awakener-orb them to get a secure state of 2 elevated mods on an item.
- Use prefixes/suffixes cannot be changed to literally lock mods and elevate a second/3rd mod without any costs or losses at all.

Especially this second interaction seems a bit weird to me. With the first one there is some leftover randomness in terms of the results of the awakening of the item, but the second option doesn´t even comply with the mechanic of the Orb itself, namely removing one affix and elevating another. I just wonder: Is that intentional? Is it likely this mechanic gets changed/nerfed or is that just a way to go since the mod-locking costs currency as well? I mean, it´s good since it makes crafting 3 elevated mods on an item pretty easy, but I can´t see that this was intented.

does prefixes/suffixes cannot be changed really work like that for Maven orb? Its weird how essences fossils etc aren't allowed to which would have been really fun but apparently its OK for Morb lol

Well yeah it does, else that topic wouldn't have made any sense 😂
Well it increases the chances of me using one substantially but I still find it hard to believe but as with regard to your OP I can only agree it seems unintentional to me but they are fine with some pretty random stuff when it comes down to it.
