This also happened to me. I double corrupted a Prism with rgb sockets and it changed it to ggr colored sockets. bummer :(
This happened to me twice: https://imgur.com/a/zeZoP5X

Once I got only socket color changes and the other time I got an uninfluenced rare back.
Bex confirmed white sockets are bugged and they're aware of it: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/l0402v/locus_of_corruption_altar_possibly_bugged/gjrfyj4/
so I know it's a snowballs chance in hell but could I get my farrul's uncorrupted or all white sockets like it should be? like i said i know it's a little to 0% chance of happening but it doesn't hurt to ask :P
GGG doesn't restore items for any reason.

they did once actually, they restored a few hardcore characters (about 200ish) that died due to carrion queen's damage being bugged or seomthing and doing millions of damage, however that was like 3 or 4 or 5 yearws ago

Yes, but the GGG attitude should be reply immediately yes or no there is a bug

No everytime they went to the process of internal investigation and going to add to known bug list , then start to think reply or not.
