DPS, PoE - PoB

Should the DPS i do in the game, show up the same amount as it does on the build the guy does in Path of Building?
I don't understand why I do so much less than him with the same items. :( Last bumped on Dec 26, 2020, 11:27:40 PM

Import your character into PoB, make sure the tree is identical as to how you have it in-game.
(as your character tab is private, you will need your POESESSID from your browser's cookies to do this!) |

" No. Path of Building assumes alot of buffs are always active while they aren't actually in-game. PoB also calculates things like curses, resistances and penetration, increases to damage taken and many other things that the in-game dps tooltip never takes into account. There are also plenty of ways to inflate the PoB dps for no other reason than show off a big number to players who don't understand it's largely fakery. Don't get fooled by these PoB warriors. |

There is the calculation mode switch withing Calc tab, if you chose "Buffed" the result should be pretty close to in-game dps value.

Thanks for the info! (although I can't find where "bvanharjr" is talking about in the cookies, i can only find the web sight names)
It's just been really frustrating. Got my first character to level 88 now (it's a Bleed-Bow) have done up to T9 so far. But my top DPS only says 12,000dps/13,500 bleed, and the build on PoB says 110,000dps/1,650,000 bleed (that's when I put his item's on None to match the item's we both have. |
