3.12 Zealotry + Mines = no consecrated gounds

Dear GGG,
I've seen on a few forum post dating back to 3.9 thats at some point zealotry was working with mines but presumably when the gem got fixed for minions it broken the interaction with mines aswell. Could we get clarification from GGG's team on if the consecrated created by zealotry on rares / unique is intended not to work with mines anymore. According to some other users testing (https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/k4tk32/312_zealotry_mines_no_consecrated_grounds/) Zealotry with mines still works.
As per /u stropi : "zealotry shouldn't proc consecrated ground from mines because you aren't critting Zealotry's consecrated ground doesn't rely on the crit mechanic at all. It has a chance to create a cons. ground on hit. Mines are not allies. That's not the part that matters for consecrated ground. The "You" is what matters. Mines are part of "you" as they inherit your stats. And as a reminder : (1) Any on hit effect that gives a player a benefit such as applying fortify, or life gain on hit, etc DOESN'T work with totems / traps / mines. (2) However, any on hit effect debuffing an enemy or having any detrimental effect on an enemy DOES work with totems / traps / mines. Consecrated ground applies a debuff and fall withing the (2) category." This bug report can now be closed and kept a future reference for other players wondering if zealotry still work with mines. |

Mines as separate entities
Mines are separate entities from the character who throws them, but they use that character's offensive stats when applying damage and various other effects. A spell or attack unleashed by a mine is considered to have been made by the mine itself, rather than the character who threw the mine. This distinction is important to note for certain game mechanics that care about who is making the attack or casting the spell. Not a bug as previous posters mentioned. It's by design.
Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris.

Stormblast mine probably doesnt hit often enough.
I tried it with BL mine on shaper and i got plenty of consacrated ground. So it does work :) |

You YOURSELF aren't critting, so yeah, you won't get the consecrated ground on crit. Everything else from Zealotry will work.
