Life and Mana leech not working !!!

most of my equipments have life and mana leeches, my passives too. but when i attack, i dont leech at all. i tried looking at each of my items and passives but nothing says that i cannot leech life and mana. i even have a ring that leeches from my attacks (no matter if it's melee or projectile) when i look at my health bar when i attack, it doesnt leech at all. Someone please help me

Etheral Knives is a spell so none of the leech on attack stuff doesn't work with it.

Mana and Life Leech is harder to achieve nowadays, since Warlord's mark's first nerf. In order to leech with EK, assuming you keep it full physical, you will need Spell Leech or Physical Leech (No Physical Attack Leech).

Usually, with Spell is easier to leech Energy Shield. This is meant to be a somewhat trade-off for the loss of Warlord's Mark as the main leech source, expecially mana, for pretty much every mage character.

Physical spells are relatively harder to get life leech sources, even harder than chaos spells I'd say, but still easy. You can read the wiki it tells you the many ways to do it.

Mana leech from spells on the other hand... well... they totally removed it from the game ever since they released Archmage to prevent ppl abusing this support gem, unless there is something I do not know. EDIT: Actually they removed it much earlier than Archmage was released but you can imagine how busted it could be if it mana leech wasn't removed.

They did it back in Synthesis when they tried to shift the meta for mages. Since the only way they used to sustain mana was mana leeching, possibly with Warlord, they made Warlord only work with attacks and, rather, forced mages to resort on Mana Flasks or Mana Regen, or Eldritch Battery + Spell Damage leeched as ES. Thankfully they also revamped Channeling skills back then, so even a Clarity could actually do its job quite well.
