Since I've been reading something about "bans" lately, I'm currently a bit unsure what is allowed here and what is not. Therefore I would like to ask you for clarification. On the one hand, there are various tools that work with Autohotkey, these seem to be allowed, at least almost every HC player (including Twitch streamers) uses the logout Marco. List of AHK tools: - Trade Macro (obsolete) - Trade Companion - Logout macro Can I use these AHK tools? Since TradeMacro was not further developed, there were more or less two offshoots: - Awakened PoE Trade - PoE overlay community fork Can I use one of these price-check tools without hesitation? And as a further offshoot, an Overwolf version: - PoE Overlay (Overwolf Version) Overwolf is probably seen as very critical, so I ask here in particular? If all of these "Pricecheck" tools are forbidden, it would be legal to develop a website that offers me to copy a Item from PoE using CTRL+C and paste it there using CTRL+V, so that I can have options like this price-check tools are offered to help me to configure the official trading site for all this Enchants, Prefixes, Subfixes, Implicits, Sockets, Links, etc.? Doing this by hand is very time-consuming and not entirely intuitive. " The only one you can be sure is allowed are these --> - PoB community fork. - Yolo mouse (or what's the name of it). All other 3 party software tool can get you banned. You can e-mail GGG support about but the answer will not help you --> GGG's reply will be in the line of "we advice you not to use any 3 party tools". " There is no "manual" logout macro. Its automated doing multiple commands by pushing one key, in addition this key is not bind ingame. Like other tools do it per key or click (f.e. invite a player, send a msg, etc.). Ill give the forum guys some time and mail support team if I get no answer. |

" an "automated" logout macro will get you banned. A manual logout macro where you push 1 key and it does all the rest is allowed --> THIS IS THE ONLY MULTI MACRO that is allowed. Please look at the forum. You will see that you will not get ANY GGG answer other then --> I have sent you a PM regarding this. |

" Stay kind. I'm not here to steal your cookies. I just want a clear answer why someone should be banned by using a price-checking-tools. In this thread https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2687314 they say its okay if a 3rd party tool does "one server side action", its seems no matter if this is done be a 3rd party EXE or not. So logout macro is fine, ok. But a price checking tool does exactly this, one server side action. Its copying item data (client side, like you can do it by CTRL+C) parsing it (client side) and ask ONCE the trade API server for price information. Trade helpers may do 2 actions, like leave a party and whisper something friendly. Even if this is a joke compared to other things, that could easily be turn off. And most commands does only ONE server side action. Like Invite, whisper, leave, kick, scam check, move to HO, ... And in general this is a HELP forum, there are so many guides out there about this tools, but no one can answer the simple a question if this tools are breaking the rules or not. There is no official guideline. No one (okay maybe a few) want to break this rules, even the people coding this tools. So if GGG would say this is fine and this is not, that would help so much. But this "I'll send you a private message policy" is a joke, sorry! |

" the reason you get banned for "price checking tools" is that some of them spam's GGG backend API's and curse system unstability and crashes. How you can see this is people making threads about the "capthure" is there ALL the time (each time they click something) and that programs like PoB no longer works. This is because their IP has been restricted (blocked) by GGG security systems and this is the final step before an account ban is done. |
