Wyrmsign Not allowing rampage as advertised
working on a build idea that involves cycling between max endurance and losing endurance charges in a regular fashion as a part of the build play itself...
figured throwing these gloves on could only further improve this as once gaining max you should then trigger rampage... ran nearly the entirety of a zone clearing packs in quick succession causing the other endurance mechanics to trigger so i know they are firing but no rampage kicking in... so this is the wording on the item "Socketed Gems are Supported by Level 5 Concentrated Effect (120-160)% increased Armour and Evasion +(50-70) to maximum Life 4% reduced Mana Cost per Endurance Charge Gain Rampage while at Maximum Endurance Charges Lose all Endurance Charges when Rampage ends" now i can only assume that it is also having the *unintended?* effect of losing rampage whilst not at maximum endurance charges? if this is indeed the intended effect then it is not indicated in the description to reflect this... as far as i'm aware the only reason rampage should end is you stop adding to the kill counter and as an effect of this the timer expires or... outside of mitigating circumstances that would force that result such as character death, zone change, or an additional mechanic that is added to take precedence over the rampage effect and enforce the null... so please some clarification required... either the description of the mechanic is wrong? or the mechanic is broken? What is the maximum endurance charge number for your character, and are you sure that you have reached said maximum endurance charge number?
Rampage from these gloves will only trigger when you reach that maximum number. Enduring cry helps a lot here. 😹😹😹😹😹

ok following are skills/items/mechanics
minimum end charges of 1 *a maximum end charges of 2 *b end charges are lost at full charge *c phys damage taken for mana spent *d 1 endurance per 1 sec if hit recently *e disciple of the unyielding *a fragility *b eternal apple *c scolds bridle *d enduring composure *e this creates my endurance charge loops providing i'm spending mana, which i am constantly whilst active so every second i generate a charge and then lose it as i have reached maximum. this gives me my warcry loop so i know that all the above is taking place when adding wyrm to the build in theory i should also potentially enter rampage every second also. i am not seeing that take place visually and have no kill counter that would support it. hope that makes it clearer... or worse depending lol Last edited by Slothrun#5955 on Oct 29, 2020, 7:59:55 AM

You have to get a kill while at full endurance charges to start Rampage, but you can never do this because you lose max endurance charges as soon as you hit max endurance charges.

" yeah this was what i was thinking and was hoping it wasn't which is why i think it's description should be amended then to better describe it, it doesn't say you lose ramp when not at max so you should still according to it's wording get that window to build the counter once you hit max, the number of end after that shouldn't matter. hopefully it'd be fixed or at the very least have the confusion removed :/ |

You don't lose Rampage, you just don't have it to start your rampage in the first place.
If you got a kill while at full Endurance charges and then lost them, as long as you maintained your kill streak you'd keep your Rampage. |

" Yeah tested them on a endurance discharge build to confirm and you do maintain ramp once in it even if you spend the endurance. My guess is it just means in the other build design because the transition from maximum endurance charges to them being spent is pretty much instantaneous that the window of opportunity to enter rampage is virtually impossible to time. kinda annoying, kinda understandable, would prefer if it had better wording still, maybe to the effect of you can only enter rampage this way whilst at maximum endurance charges. appreciate the responses too though :) |
