Tired of poe? Play Hades!

I picked this game up on a whim last week.
It's fucking great. Was on steam sale for $20 and I can't say enough good things about it.

Well now you know to. Bastion put them on the map with its incredible soundtrack and pure Zelda-style game design, Transistor proved they weren't a one-hit wonder with its really cool jazzy aesthetic (and yes, a talking, hi-tech sword), and pyre...well, that one I haven't played yet either, but the combination of visual novel, rpg and...basketball-style combat? That's intriguing. But frankly, this is one of those cases where 'what it's about' is very much secondary to 'who made it'. Supergiant are talented enough to make whatever they attempt, work. I can't think of an indie studio more consistently lauded for their output that HASN'T been bought out by a money-grubbing publisher or investment company.

Hades is 4 for 4. That's no fluke.

Love Hades! Even when it first hit Early Access it was already in really good shape. I enjoy it more than any of the previous titles from Supergiant, though they were very well made and pretty good as well. They just didn't quite do it for me the way Hades did.

I need to play again now that it's out of EA. Thanks for the reminder!

Too funny, I read the thread, I open Steam and realize that I already own Hades.

Bought it few weeks ago after following it closely for few months and I must admit this is the biggest surprise I had in years.

The art direction is fantastic, the amount of various voicelines is fantastic, the gameplay is fantastic, everything is fantastic. And FUN!

This one is 100% going for steam awards.
