If you want the currency one, you do contracts or blueprints that require lockpicking. The characters simply indicate who can do lockpicking and what their max level is for that skill. So a 3 indicates they can only do blueprints and heist of level 3 or below for lockpicking

Also some of the rewards are better than you might intuitively think.
Maps can drop delirious, jewellery can drop two-implicit krangled[corrupted], and armour seems to drop 5L very often and 6L semi-regularly.
