*FIXED BUT NOT TECHNICALLY SOLVED* POE WON'T OPEN

So all I wanted to do was play this season and when I first launch my PoE taskbar pin, nothing would open. So I decided to go to the root file and it didn't work either, so I started troubleshooting. Here is what I have done.

- Uninstalled path of exile (multiple times)
- Deleted anything to do with path of exile
- Reinstalled it as stand-alone client and on steam (both to no avail)
- Updated graphics card drivers
- Checked for windows updates and updated
- Rebooted pc (multiple times)
- Ran Restoro to fix any files
- Uninstalled vanguard and easy cheat detector from other games
- Made sure path of exile was allowed in firewall
- Turned off firewall and tried booting game

After all of these methods, nothing worked. I highly doubt it is an issue with the OS and I want to save reinstalling windows until my last option. The last time I ran path of exile was probably on March 13th, where I ran it perfectly and completed act 1-10 in Harvest league. I don't know what else to try. Literally what happens is I double click the program path of exile, it appears on task manager for 3 seconds and disappears. Under details on task manager it is almost instantly suspended. If anyone has any tips please let me know, I would like to be able to play this league.

*Edit - I have also now wiped my graphics drivers completely in safe mode and reinstalled and that did not work either.

*Last Edit - I have reset my pc and did the reinstall of windows 10 where it keeps my personal files and deltes all apps and programs. Yes this sucks because I have to reinstall every app I used to have, but it worked. First thing I installed was google chrome and then I installed path and it worked. I know most of you don't want to do this but it worked for me. This fixed it, but I have no clue what the real source of the problem was, good luck everyone.

Yo, I just wanted to let you know that I am having a similar issues where my path of exile doesn't open.

I was able to start and load the game yesterday to update the large re-install of the game patch. But ever since the small patch today before launch, I've had no luck getting the game to run either.

So, you aren't alone brother!

exactly the same here.

tried all the steps above, both steam and standalone
installed on my usual drives aswell as c: for both versions.(since someone had luck doing that)

installing the stand alone launcher works, but nothing happends when trying to launch it, ie nothing is downloaded at all.
no logs created etc , just like with steam(but steam atleast installs the game)

wasnt as excited to start playing this league as i usually am so havent been driving me too insane so far, but i would like to be able to play sometime in the near future atleast

have played every league since breach without any issues so been luckier than most, but juding by the forum this seems to be a rare case so kinda scared it wont be looked at.

I am also having this issue.... From what I can tell it's directx fault if you can get it to load with vulkan it should work. something about the newest driver for nividia... maybe.. i have no idea how to get it to switch to vulkan or else i could confirm but others have said that it has worked for them. I don't get any error's it just about gets to the intro of the gears showing up but then it goes black and shuts down. Ive tried rolling back my graphic driver's but didnt work maybe didnt go back far enough, my desktop plays it just fine, but ive had it on vulkan since it became available. People are having the same issue but nobody has gotten a fix yet...

i also read about the vulkan thing. but it doesnt seem like the game even gets far enough for anything in production confiq file to have any effect.

I have tried just about everything other than reinstalling OS. I have the same error file. You see, I wiped everything from my pc that had to do with PoE, including the documents/my games/path of exile folder, so I no longer have logs, or packcheck.exe, or client.exe, or the one file that you can manually change the directx it uses, so idk what to do anymore because the fresh install wont stay on long enough to produce those files.

same problem, please post if you find a solution guys!

i ran dxdiag and i think theres something in it about a app crash pathofexile.exe but i dont know what any of that means....

done a couple of more attempts today, but not any closer to a fix.
last thing i did today was cleaning out some registry entries and did one last redownload/install (about 300gb downloaded this weekend :( )

completely out of ideas now.
Saw that one of us with the same issues had gotten it to work by reinstalling windows. Not prepared to do that just yet since Poe is the only thing that doesnt work.

For now ill just give up on this league.(first missed league since 2016)

ill check in on the forum later to see if this issue is somehow acknowledged by GGG or, maybe more likely one of you guys find a fix.

I thought this was the only way to report a technical problem. Does support not even look here or? I really could use some damn help.
