% Reduced effect of shock

So... how does this work? If I have 100% in total, does it mean that there is no way I am gonna take bonus dmg from shock? If I have 80%, would it mean that I might take 20% of bonus dmg?

Unless you have 100% it just mean you need to take a lot more damage to take a decent amount of increase damage.

As it work exponential, 80% reduce shock effect would probably mean that you need to take more than 50% of your health to even notice a diffence in damage you take. Technically you could still be shock at max effect (50% I think ?) But you would probably need to take something like 800% of your max hp in 1 hit for that.

Shock is also cap, shock effect just make it easier to reach that caps. The reverse is also true.

I'm not sure how shock effect work for fix % like shock ground.

"Reduced effect of shock on you" means any effect Shock would have on you will apply at a reduced rate. This usually refers to the "+x% Increased Damage Taken" from being shocked.

The actual amount depends on how much Lightning damage you took. The more lightning damage you took, the higher the x% Increased Damage Taken that Shock will apply to you. "Reduced effect of shock on you" will lower that x%. If, for example, you get a Shock for 50% Increased Damage Taken (like the one you get from sipping from a Vinktar's Square) while you have "50% Reduced effect of shock on you", then you will be shocked for 25% Increased Damage Taken. If you stand on Shocking Ground (usually 20% effect), then you will be shocked for 10%

If you manage to get 100% Reduced effect of shock on you, you will be Unaffected by Shock - You can still be shocked, but its effect will not be applied on you (like if you are wearing an Inpulsa). Likewise, having 100% Chance to Avoid Shock is the same like having Cannot be Shocked (like if you are wearing a Fairgraves' Tricorne)
