Vulkan option grayed out since 3.11.2 update
Since the 3.11.2 update the renderer option has been locked to DirectX11. The game also wouldn't start when using the 64bit client. Please help.

" Hmm, are you using steam client or stand-alone client ? 64 bit vulcan via stand-alone client work fine with me and since noone else is reporting this, it sounds like a local problem with your pc (drivers and so on). |

" I'm using stand alone. Updated all my drivers too. Tried using the 64bit client but the game wouldn't start. Client just defaults to the 32bit version. I was able to use Vulkan since the release of it so I'm not entirely sure what's different. Tried reinstalling too. |

Update on this, the client doesn't install the 64bit client launcher. This is after multiple reinstallations.

Hmm, I just installed the latest patch (the hotfix) and I have all the files -->
https://imgur.com/gallery/smLY8r3 You sure you don't have some security software "removing" the files??? |

" Only security software I have apart from the base antivirus stuff that comes with Windows is Avast. And even then I was able to run Vulkan prior to this patch installation so I don't think those would be interfering. I also tried downloading the 64bit client off of a friend and whenever id put it in the folder it would just delete itself. Whenever I tried running the client that's the file it would always try to install but it would just delete itself afterwards. I don't know how that happens or what's going on :( https://gyazo.com/2977171c0f669051b35eb4bf4121dd04 Here's a clip of what I'm saying if you wanna check it out. There are different versions of vulkan, perhaps with the tech update, they also updated the required version of vulkan, which your system might not be supporting anymore.
No rest for the wicked.

Checked on that too, says Vulkan still runs on the GPU I'm using. Using an NVIDIA GTX 1060.

" What sort of 1060 is it? There are different models and makes with different features for each card. I am asking because before i upgraded, i had 1050ti, and at 1080p, i could run PoE on medium/high settings at way above 60 fps. Either your system is poorly maintained or that 1060 is barest of bare bones versions you can get. No rest for the wicked.

" This is just on a laptop, but it is an NVIDIA GTX 1060 with Max q. Was able to run the game on an average of 60 fps before as well and as I mentioned before, I was able to run Vulkan. And last I checked, the model and driver I'm using still supports Vulkan. Don't think right now it's a hardware issue considering the issue I have is that the client won't start 64 bit when prior to this it always has. |
